Lake Ontario water release aims to raise drought-level St. Lawrence River

Water levels along the St. Lawrence River are so low after a dry summer and fall that boats have been left in the riverbed. Increased outflow from Lake Ontario will give a temporary lift to water levels and will help haul out the boats.
