Edmonton and Calgary try municipal-level political parties for the first time as Albertans head to the polls

In Edmonton, voters will be electing a new mayor out of the 13 candidates running for the position. There are also a total of 81 candidates running for 12 city council seats in each of Edmonton’s municipal wards.
