Willie McKnight, an ace pilot from Alberta, joined the Royal Air Force in 1939 and became a highly decorated fighter pilot during the Second World War. Local historian Shelly McElroy joined the Calgary Eyeopener on Remembrance Day to reflect on the namesake of the city's McKnight Boulevard.
